We have a short but sweet programme for 2009, with two events that look at the use of
pervasive technology (mobile phones and surveillance cameras) in the showing and making of
artists' film and video.
Our first event, Mobile Movie Treasure Trail, takes place as part of this year's White Night Brighton and Hove celebrations on 24 October 09, with a trail of artists' videos 'hidden' in the city for people to hunt for and find. Videos can be downloaded through Bluetooth applications on mobiles - with 'X' marking the spot where films can be downloaded around the city. Once found, videos can be kept, swapped and watched again, making mobile phones into mini-cinemas.
Events will be take place across Brighton, so please make sure you check where screenings are happening. We look forward to seeing you at our next event.

Our intention is to support artists, but also to showcase new artists' film, video and moving image work to the public to increase public engagement with moving image, and to create opportunities for critical engagement with contemporary art work.

programme page.
