To promote the innovative development of emergent performance and visual artists in Brighton & Hove through

About BFAP

BFAP is a not-for-profit organisation that aims to become a leading resource and support centre for visual and performing artists in Brighton & Hove and across the region. BFAP are based at the Argus Lofts in the heart of Brighton’s cultural quarter. The adaptable space hosts rehearsals, readings, performances, seminars and exhibitions.

BFAP are committed to working with dynamic original non-mainstream artists. We specialise in working with early career artists and more established artists who wish to make the next leap forwards in their professional career or artistic practice. BFAP achieve this through producing exhibitions and through a professional development programme of training courses, professional advice on all aspects of production and arts management, access to administration and office resources and a tailored professional development scheme for selected artists.

We are supporting videoclub as we believe in the necessity for a forum for artists working in moving image.

Fabrica

Fabrica is an art gallery in the heart of Brighton town centre, committed to promoting understanding of contemporary visual art and craft. It opened in March 1996 in the redundant Holy Trinity Church with the support of South East Arts, Brighton Borough Council, The Foundation for Sport and the Arts and Chichester Diocese. The original idea grew out of the ambitions of Red Herring Studios, in Hove, to provide access to contemporary visual art.

Permanent Gallery

Permanent Gallery is an environment where artists experiment with new ideas and new ways of working. We offer critical and practical support to produce, present and contextualise the work. Central to this process is a dialogue between the gallery, the artists and the audience.
